Newfoundland Exempts RDSP

The provincial government of Newfoundland and Labrador has amended its regulations to exempt the RDSP from the calculation of income support benefits. We congratulate the Newfoundland and Labrador government for taking this very important step in helping improve the financial security of people with a disability.

As well, they have provided $85,000 to the Newfoundland and Labrador Association for Community Living to increase awareness of these new exemptions and to improve financial literacy of individuals and families.
